other ladies contacted me with similar messages. I cannot vouch yeah or nay on
them, but had at least one very similar contact on PM, and one on
www.match.com, from a girl claiming to be a beautician in Ekaterinburg, also
named Anna or Anya. When I wrote her that I had many Russian friends, from
college, and some doctors I work with, she disappeared. Anna Rybakova and I
began to write to each other almost every day for a month. She told me that she
had fallen in love with me, and wanted to come to the USA. She would live
anywhere in the world with the man who really loved her. Then, she went to get
information on obtaining a visa, which it turned out was going to cost $350. My
next door neighbor, who just moved here from Germany, said that was about the
going rate now for foreign visa/passports, so I believed it. I was going to book
and pay for a train ride, or a flight to Moscow to help this person, but she
refused that, and just asked that I send a Western Union to the bank where her
girlfriend worked. It was too hard to fly 1.5 hours up there (because she would
have to take a short ferry across the river to the next town), so she would take
the 23-hour train ride. I very nearly lost this money. THANK GOD FOR YOU
PEOPLE!!!!! I ran across this and other sites purely by accident when I was
trying to translate a message to Russian to send her from www.ask.com. It
appeared and I was drawn to click on it. I was able to call Western Union and
stop the transfer before it was picked up.
I have probably 20 pictures of this girl, from baby to current. Here are a couple of her letters...They sound almost
